The Hong Kong Television and Entertainment Licensing Authority published the winners of the 2008 Meritorious Website Contest:
- “Little Prince is depressed” (www.depression.edu.hk) is an interactive project of the Hong Kong University and the Hong Kong Center for Suicide Research and Prevention.
- “Ocean Park Hong Kong” (www.oceanpark.com.hk) is the website of Hong Kong’s marine-themed amusement park at Wong Chuk Hang and Nam Long Shan. The Ocean Park took the 7th place in ‘The World’s Most Popular Amusement Parks’ by Forbes in June 2006. The website has a lot of flash animations about it’s facilities and animals.
- “u21″ (www.u21.hk) is the website of a youth online portal.
- “Science Explorer” (sciexplorer.etvonline.tv) is a website for pupils and children to comprehend physical experiments and the history of science.
- “50 Common Trees in Hong Kong” (resources.edb.gov.hk) is a popular Hong Kong website which pretty much matches it’s name.
- “Splendid Chinese Culture” (www.chiculture.net) is a chinese project of “The Academy of Chinese Studies.”
- “Hong Kong Observatory” (www.hko.gov.hk) is the multilingual website of Hong Kong’s administration. It provides municipal information like extensive wheather forecast for the region.
- “Hong Kong Reading City” (www.hkreadingcity.net) is a literature web portal for childrean and adults.
- “Mingpao.com” (www.mingpao.com) is the online version of the very successful chinese newspaper “明报” which is considered the most credible chinese language newspaper by Hong Kong University.
- “Hong Kong Education City” (www.hkedcity.net) is a popular project of Hong Kong’s official Education Bureau.
